Kitesurfing at Oostende

Oostende is the largest town on the Belgian coast and a reliable all-round kite spot, with wide sandy beaches on either side of the harbour. It works best in south-westerly through north-westerly winds, offering chop and small waves at higher tides and flatter water over the sand banks as the tide drops. Marked kite zones keep riders separated from the busy central beaches.
