Kitesurfing at Nieuwpoort

Nieuwpoort lies at the mouth of the IJzer river and is one of Belgium's busiest watersports hubs. The beach beside the harbour picks up steady south-westerly to north-westerly wind and offers chop with small waves, while the shallows at low tide give more forgiving conditions. A strong local scene and several schools make it a good place to progress.
