Kitesurfing at Blankenberge

Blankenberge is a classic Belgian seaside resort with a long promenade and a broad sandy beach that empties out widely at low tide. The prevailing south-westerly through north-westerly winds give cross-shore conditions, with small waves at high water and flatter riding over the sand as the tide falls. Designated kite areas operate on either side of the town.
