Penthièvre sits on the narrow isthmus of the Quiberon peninsula, with a sheltered bay on one side and the open ocean on the other. The bay side offers shallow, flat water that is ideal for beginners and freestylers, while the ocean side serves up waves for the more adventurous.

Le Crotoy
Le Crotoy sits in the Baie de Somme, where the tide reveals huge sandbanks and shallow channels of flat water. Wissant is the best-known kitesurfing spot on the Opal Coast, set in a wide bay between Cap Gris-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez. The huge sandy beach works on all tides and picks up plenty of wind, with chop and small waves that make it a favourite for freeriders and wave riders alike.
