Hauts-de-France has four kitesurfing spots on Kitemap. Here they are with wind conditions and the current wind for each.

Le Crotoy
Le Crotoy sits in the Baie de Somme, where the tide reveals huge sandbanks and shallow channels of flat water. Around high tide the bay becomes a large playground of butter-flat water, making it one of the best flat-water spots in northern France. Watch the tides carefully, as the bay empties quickly.

Le Touquet
Le Touquet-Paris-Plage offers a vast sandy beach that becomes enormous at low tide, giving kitesurfers plenty of space to launch and land. The spot works best in south-westerly to north-westerly winds and suits progressing riders, with chop and small waves depending on conditions.

Wimereux is a classic Opal Coast spot just north of Boulogne-sur-Mer, with a long sandy beach that opens up widely at low tide. It handles south-westerly to north-westerly winds well and offers waves on the outside with flatter sections closer to the beach.

Wissant
Wissant is the best-known kitesurfing spot on the Opal Coast, set in a wide bay between Cap Gris-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez. The huge sandy beach works on all tides and picks up plenty of wind, with chop and small waves that make it a favourite for freeriders and wave riders alike.
