Kitesurfing at Île de Ré - Le Bois-Plage

Le Bois-Plage, on the ocean side of the Île de Ré, is the island's main kite beach, a long stretch of sand with shallow water over sand bars. South-westerly to north-westerly winds give cross-onshore conditions, with chop and small waves and flatter sections inside the bars at lower tides. The island's reliable sea breezes and holiday atmosphere make it very popular in summer.
