Kitesurfing at Le Barcarès

Le Barcarès, on the Roussillon coast just north of Perpignan, sits between the Mediterranean and the Étang de Leucate and is swept by the Tramontane for much of the year. The strong, steady north-westerly wind and shallow water make it a reliable spot, with chop and small waves on the sea side. Its warm water and dependable wind draw kitesurfers throughout the season.
