Kitesurfing at Saint-Malo

Saint-Malo, on the north Brittany coast, is a spectacular kite spot set beneath the walls of the historic corsair city. The Sillon beach becomes enormous at low tide thanks to some of the largest tidal ranges in Europe, giving vast flat sand and shallow water. Westerly to south-westerly winds work best, though the big tides demand careful timing.
