Alcochete
Alcochete is a spot with relatively flat water occasionally used by locals, water quality has improved a lot in recent years. It works well at high tide (1.4M). Bring shoes to protect against shellfish.

Cova do Vapor
Cova do Vapor offers a mix of flatwater and small wave conditions close to the shore, with stronger waves further out. It's popular for freestyle and freeride, and works well with north-westerly winds. The beach is situated near the mouth of the Tagus River.

Fonte da Telha
A smaller version of Caparica with smaller waves and cross-shore winds. Ideal for kiters and windsurfers, with a charming backdrop and sandy roads reminiscent of Brazil.

Lagoa de Albufeira
A lagoon with standing-depth water, offering ample space for kitesurfing, especially in summer. Ideal for beginners in summer due to calm water, while in winter strong south-westerly winds allow for wave riding on the ocean side. The area near the farming platforms poses a danger for experienced windsurfers as water depth is just 50 cm.

Nova Vaga Kitebeach
Located at the southern end of Costa da Caparica, this official kite spot offers small waves, suitable for kitesurfers looking to practice smaller jumps. In winter, the swell is bigger.

Ponta dos Corvos
Ponta dos Corvos offers flatwater conditions, but only works at high tide. The water quality has improved in recent years, but strong northerly winds push debris ashore. It's a secluded spot, often shared with swimmers in summer.

Praia da Rainha
A wide beach offering more relaxed surroundings compared to the city. Popular for windsurfing due to sandbar breaks, but kiting is only allowed in low season.

Sao Joao
These spots offer small waves close to shore with stronger, more powerful waves further out. Popular with Lisbon locals, the beaches can get crowded, especially during summer. The breakwaters help manage the swell and protect swimmers.

Trafaria Kitebeach
Trafaria Kitebeach is not the most popular beach. It's industrial, and the wind can get gusty. It's best to go in at Praia do Segundo Torrão, 100 meters down the road
