Located across the river from Porto, this beach has a sheltered breakwater and is well-known for its small, consistent waves. Best for beginners or those looking for less challenging conditions.

Canidelo, Gaia
A long sandy beach with disorganized waves and consistent winds. The beach is well suited for windsurfing, but kitesurfing can be challenging due to submerged rocks and strong currents.

Esposende Lagoa
A flatwater lagoon located near the Rio Cávado estuary. Exclusively accessible by boat, the lagoon offers flat water and consistent winds, making it great for freestyle and wake-style kiting.

Esposende Praia
A beach with medium-sized waves and consistent winds. It's easier to access than nearby spots, though strong currents around the river estuary make it challenging. Kiting is forbidden in summer due to beachgoers.

Leça da Palmeira
Leça da Palmeira is near an industrial area, but offers good windsurfing and kitesurfing with consistent winds. The waves are generally small, making it suitable for beginners.

Matosinhos
A popular beach located near Porto, with cross-shore winds and mellow conditions. It's a good spot for beginner kitesurfers, with smaller waves and safer waters, though the wind can be gusty in summer.

Moledo
Located near the Spanish border, Moledo offers strong winds, especially in summer. The waves disappear further south, but there are some rocks in the water. Best for windsurfing, with kitesurfing possible in the right conditions.

Ofir
Medium waves break between Ofir's two breakwaters. The wind is not as strong as in Viana, but the waves are still good. The spot works best with lower tides, and has stronger swells in winter.

Secluded beach offering big waves, often reaching mast-high in winter. The beach is best for windsurfers, but kiters can try in the right conditions. Rocks and strong winds make it a spot for experienced riders.
