Carcavelos
Carcavelos works best in winter when south-westerly winds combine with the Atlantic swell. It's a great spot for wave riding and can get busy with both surfers and windsurfers during big swell periods. However, the wind is often too gusty during summer.

Cascais
Cascais is a sophisticated resort known for its upscale atmosphere and great windsurfing conditions. The wind provides good conditions for slalom and racing, though it's gusty near the shore. Best suited for intermediate and advanced windsurfers.

Foz do Lizandro
Located south of Ericeira with sandy beaches and weaker currents near the rivermouth. Cross-shore winds are gusty, and waves can vary in size depending on the spot. Great for beginners and intermediate riders.

Guincho
One of Europe's top windsurfing and kitesurfing destinations, with strong gusty winds from May to August. Features large waves and challenging conditions, especially when the tide rises. Best for advanced riders due to its unpredictable nature.

Praia Grande
A hardcore wave spot with heavy shorebreak and challenging conditions, mostly for experts. Strong waves and winds can be dangerous, leaving little room for error.

Praia do Matadouro
One of the best spots in Ericeira for windsurfing, but a bit small for launching your kite. Features easier conditions compared to other local beaches, with good swell at low tide. Suitable only for experienced riders.

The Cave
A small rocky beach offering an alternative launch spot for northern breaks. The Cave is known for its powerful waves breaking over a shallow reef, making it suitable only for experts.
