Dollymount Strand
Dollymount Strand, on Bull Island in Dublin Bay, is Ireland's most popular kite spot thanks to its huge sandy beach just minutes from the city. Onshore easterlies work best, and low tide leaves large shallow pools of flat water that are perfect for learning.

Castlegregory
Castlegregory, on the Maharees peninsula in County Kerry, is the kitesurfing heart of Ireland's south-west. With beaches on both sides of the sandy spit it works in almost any wind direction, serving up everything from flat water in the bay to proper Atlantic waves.

Achill Island - Keel Beach
Keel Beach on Achill Island is one of Ireland's most spectacular kite spots, a long sandy beach beneath the Minaun Cliffs on the wild Atlantic coast. It picks up plenty of swell for wave riding in westerly winds, while Keel Lough behind the beach offers flat water when conditions allow.
